As a human being, you are born with specific senses. As you arrive on the scene, you can see, hear, smell, talk or feel touch automatically because you are a living being. There is a surety to this except there is an impairment or handicap of some sort. These are mere human attributes.
Now, just as your physical senses operate, your spiritual or mental senses of feeling, memory, conscience, imagination and reasoning work. When a child is born, these physical and spiritual senses automatically serve the basic living purpose of the child in the physical space as the child grows.
The child does not really need to be taught to walk, though it can be goaded into doing so. The child grows and matures into speaking by mimicry and repetition. The child mimics others and repeats what the adults in their space do.
The child learns to sit, crawl or drag, stand, walk and run. The child does these things based on impulsive intelligence from within, and what it is able to see and connect with in the environment.
It is almost impossible for any child to grow and mature beyond the thinking of the environment. The activities of the child is often limited to and dictated by what trends in the surroundings. The environment is a strong influence on the child.
Talking about growth, there is the physical growth where the child matures into performing regular and expected tasks. These are tasks that every normal [not abnormal] person performs as he or she develops. Physical tasks are such tasks as walking, babbling/speaking eventually, picking up and hurling objects, and doing stuff like every other human does.
As the child grows and matures mentally and otherwise, the task of productive development and growth is assigned to and monitored by the adults in the locality. The child may not be able to grow or act beyond the thinking of those adults. Every child is raised by some person or persons. Who this someone is, is an important question. This is the model the child sees and emulates.
Whoever must raise a child must be mentally, spiritually, physically, financially and emotionally equipped to do so. Where this is not so, a gap or many gaps will be created in the life of the child. These gaps widen as the child becomes an adult. The child grows but is not growing or vice versa. The child could be malnourished or nourished in different areas of its development.
The reason the majority continue the regular way is that they have not recognized the power of intention. They have not recognized that there are gaps within them that needs filling. Unless these potholes are filled, a person's adult life is not a productive one.
With the power of intention, we grow into accepting the fact that we can be more if only we realize it. Realization is the power of awakening that brings one into the consciousness of need. It comes to a point in time that you become aware that you need to do something specific in order to be something. You have to get to that point. You do have to dare to be different.
Coming to a realization is not commonplace. Something must have happened to cause such a stir within such a being such that they begin to yearn and thirst for more than the regular, than the usual, or average. That stir is the nudge that leads to the beginning of the process of shift.
This is the drive that comes from within and goads one into development, often of the self. Drive overrides fear and overcomes every other limitation that limits many others. This drive is the impulse that pushes one to struggle to attain what lies buried within one, though it goes against the norm of the environment that they were raised in.
A shift is a process that takes one on a lifelong engagement with self as one plays with others. A shift is an intentional process that leads one out of the usual and regular path with a specific end in mind. This shift takes one away from some place and pushes one constantly into another place as long as one persists.
You persist because you believe. The fruit of belief is the deliberate work you engage in each time. You get selfish sometimes in order to get selfless. You have to afflict yourself so you can heal others through the experiences you purchase from the activities you engage in. It is life for life.
We have persons who were born and bred in very rustic and backward environments. They came to a realization that they can bring about change in their environment. They reach out beyond their environment. They go outside their environment with the urge and drive in them and they are able to bring the laurels home.
They shoot their persistent thoughts and desires into the space. They push relentlessly for a change. They make goals of desires and never rest till they attain. They live with intention beyond what is regular in their space. They are capable of dictating the pace and resetting mindsets. They are change agents. This is the product of intentional living.
They got intentional and deliberate. With these, they changed the music and redirected the consciousness of many in their space. The intentional are deliberately revolutionary. They rewrite histories and reposition thinking.
When a man is on the threshold of making great impact that will push him beyond the limits of his projections, he goes through a crucible that almost threatens to and indeed leaves him charred with burning. The scars will remind him of how well he did if he does not back down. Good success is gain sown and reaped through the enervating process of pain.
You have to be intentional in order to change the narrative in your space. You must be intentional in order to bring about improvement. You have to be intentional so you can be more than the usual.
You have to be intentional to live a life of meaning. Like the black or gold smith forges an item through concentrating energy on something, you have to forge meaning out of your existence through concentrating on and committing to a specific cause or causes in life.
You may be labelled rebellious by others but that is the very tonic you require to energise and jolt yourself into manifesting the depth you envisage. You envisage something. Intention comes with a vision of the self or the one you connect with and build into because it resonates with you.
Being intentional is the deal for anyone who has to live a fulfilled and accomplished life. However, you have to move from intention to deliberate action. Without action, intentions, however good they are, stay in the potential mode. But intention is a good starting point.
Actions inspired of good intentions leads to a life of accomplishment, where the being is brought to the fore for personal and otherwise impact designed for those ordained to be served and to benefit from same.
