It takes the discipline of conviction to stay focused on goals even when you are not seeing the key results you envisaged when you set the goals.

While persistence is a great value, it is usually tough when you begin to imagine that you are actually doing the wrong thing or you are doing the right things wrongly as you labour.

However convinced you are about what you are doing, it is almost impossible not to have doubt creep in at intervals. One thing overrides doubt: The drive to keep going regardless of mixed feelings of conviction.

These things affect both big and small time players but the difference is the ability to keep going. This is where Risk comes in. We keep going regardless.

When we think of the promise, the price/pain becomes something we embrace despite the discomfort that comes with it.

Fear of mistakes and criticism are always there but the man of compelling conviction stays focused.

When we do not give in to the fear of mistakes, we earn valid experiences through rising and falling and this makes it possible for us to be able to support others through the vehicle of mentorship.

If we are afraid of making mistakes, we are not being realistic and authentic. Through mistakes we sometimes learn to gather wisdom. We are able to break through limitations and achieve enduring values.

Winning without these things cannot earn us character and the strength that thrives over the long haul.

"Mr Joseph Ayeni's book is a well researched compendium that addresses several, but salient subjects that can significantly enhance human dignity, success and fulfilment."
