When something good happens to someone else what is your first reaction? What is the first feeling you get? What happens inside of you first: joy or repulsion?
This is a very important thought that if we fail to manage well, can be one huge reason why we are not growing as we anticipate and as much as we assiduously work.
Do you rejoice when others rejoice? Or you express an otherwise emotion when good things happen to others? Or the first thing that pops up within you is a negative before you now process same towards acceptance and positive? Then the positive is an after-thought.
Many times, we are plagued by a demon. It may not really be who we are, but that thought attaches itself to us so much that we are not able to resolve exactly what it is and what it is doing to us. We are not even conscious that the thought is a demon.
That demon is a thought. It wells up bile when we see that someone has achieved a goal and is sharing the news. We just have a repulsion deep within and we feel unhappy when what we should actually feel is otherwise.
We are supposed to rejoice when others are rejoicing. And when they sorrow, instead of being instantly sorrowful and full of empathy and compassion with a willingness to do something about it or help, the first thing we feel is an indifference that activates nonchalance and sometimes, for some, there is the compulsive feeling of outright happiness when mishap has befallen someone.
Whichever way you feel, the energy you let out is what returns to you. Whether your thoughts and feelings are transformed into words or actions, you are merely sowing a seed. Thoughts are magnets. They are high energies that pull like things to themselves.
So, whatever thoughts you have, will affect not just its kind externally, but would affect you first because you are the source of that energy; and everything that you think magnifies and vibrates. It is a strong force, stronger and more potent than you know.
These are personal battles we must fight daily. They are ours to fight. They are ours to fix. Nobody will fight them for us. The battle begins with self-awareness. If you have such a battle and you live in denial, even if a prophet tells it to you, you will not accept it. And if you do not accept it, you can't solve the problem, because you don't see it as a problem. Yet, it is a problem.
You must mortify those members within your members. You must afflict yourself and influence your thinking. You must have a new disposition. You do need a new attitude. You must have a growth and positive mindset. Without this, you court active inertness. It's debilitating negativity.
It is a big problem. It's a problem that hinders your growth because if you cannot send out the right energy into the universe wherein the Divine Consciousness or Infinite Intelligence holds sway, you cannot attract the same the same thing to yourself, however hard you try.
When something good happens to others, be joyful and then visibly express it. Honey is sweet in every mouth; not in yours only. Focus on what works for you. Be continuously renewed in your mind. Without this, you can't experience or activate transformation.
The law of sowing and reaping is a divine principle upon which everything thrives. It is in alignment with multiplication. It begins with the little thoughts that you have. If those thoughts are good, they will magnify. If they are, otherwise, they will do exactly the same.
Do observe your thoughts and choose the ones you would be glad to associate with if they become actions. Are your actions things you want to be associated with when they are published?
Choose and choose wisely. What goes around does surely come around. This much you may not only understand; this much you must accept and intentionally and deliberately work at as it concerns everything that you decide to do. It is you taking charge of your life to manifest your desires and purpose.
