You feed your stomach through your mouth. You can either maintain a healthy body based on the kind of food you enjoy eating or disfigure your body and impair your health through same.

The way you feed your body is the same way that you feed your mind. The only difference is the medium. With the mind, the medium is either through the senses of sight, hearing, feeling or even smell. Yes, even by the sense of smell, we can enrich the mind. Sometimes, someone wears a particular perfume and another person who smells it may ask what fragrance the person is wearing and mentions names to hazard a guess.

Sometimes they are right and sometimes they are close to being correct. The reason they try to mention the exact name of the designer or the fragrance is that it reminds them of the one that they know. That which they know has been saved in their subconscious. They had encountered it in the past.

What do you read? When you read, do you just read? Don’t you go from reading to studying? With studying you can engage the mind more purposefully. You can get into meditation. You can get into research. You can begin to write and engage your neural pathways. A shift can happen.

What do you like to see? What you choose to see on your devices--television, PC, Tablet, and phone through the internet equip your information bank. You draw from this account daily. And once it gets into you, it stays in you. As long as it is in you, you must thirst for it. You do not thirst for what you do not know. You thirst for what you know, and that is because it is already a part of you. That is why you yearn for it.

What you see constantly has the same impact on you. Your memory is always on hand to provide storage. This storage bank is without limit. And you thirst for the things you see, the things you like, love or desire.

Your persistent thirst or desire if fed, will only manifest. If they are negative, it means you have a mindset, you have an attitude, and inclination that will drive you towards sure and certain destruction. Starving your negative thirst is a great strength in itself because not everyone can easily get away from their negative emotions and weaknesses. Such desires always pull.

The things you see often, the things you read constantly, and hear make you feel the way you feel per time. You can suddenly begin to feel a certain way because your mind has been equipped with such information prior to the time the feeling is activated. It is not just from anywhere. It has been stored inside of you.

Whatever you read, see, and hear never go away. They stay with you. They come in through your conscious mind and they are stored in your subconscious mind where you have no control over them.

You can only control them if you can prevent them from getting into you in the first place. To do that means that you have to be choosy about what you see, what you read, the sites you visit, the things you hear, and the people and things you permit in your space. What are those things that you tarry at? What are those pastimes that you seem to enjoy but are destructive?

Many of us do not know that we are responsible for the things that make or break us. We are unaware that the things we give our attention and focus to, do not leave us. We engage and leave but they do not leave us. They become a part of us. We feed on them and they enrich our psyche; they enrich our mental faculties; they enrich our minds. Those things go straight to reside in our subconscious mind.

Putting a stop to the negative things we have fed our minds overtime requires serious efforts. It means that we must be on a deliberate journey to change our paradigm. We must rewrite the programs that run in us by consuming completely new and fresh information. Using the new information does not make the old go away, it only renders it redundant. Yet, the old information pops up now and again from the memory. But because our focus has shifted away from it and we no longer feed it, we are the better for it.

Our minds gradually become used to the new information. This process is not an easy one. It demands all the resources at our disposal, and we must be committed to bringing forth a new us. It is sacrifice.

The human mind is the master of the human. It is the reason that the mind must be renewed daily. Every day we must engage the mind in the way that we have decided to go. We must continue to feed the mind with the information of what we want to see; of the things we desire to become. Through the daily renewal of our minds, we become transformed. This separates us from others and joins us with others. We attract new things, just as we relegate old things to the background.

What you feed your mind will determine what kind of leader you would have. What you feed your mind shows what you will manifest. It forms your thoughts, your opinions, your actions, your habits and becomes your character. Your mind is your leader. Your mind is your guide.
